AMBAR KELLY CONTRACT MANAGER WORKS TOWARDS CONSTRUCTION SENIOR MANAGEMENT QUALIFICATION

October 12 2022

Ambar Kelly, a leading expert in riser shaft flooring, is pleased to announce that it’s Contract Manager, Charlie Anderson is currently working towards a Level 7 Diploma NVQ in Senior Construction Management, funded by Ambar Kelly.

In his role as a Contract Manager, Charlie manages Ambar Kelly’s contracts, negotiates with third parties, and ensures that all purchase orders meet the project objectives and are properly implemented. The aim of the course is to develop and prove the skills needed to be a knowledgeable, competent senior site manager and gain an industry recognised route to full Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) member application. Completing the course will allow Charlie to receive an accreditation in a role he is currently facilitating.

Charlie commented: “Having collected all relevant experience over the years, getting the Level 7 Diploma is the next logical step to progressing in my career. In terms of my professional development, this qualification will give me industry recognition and profession acumen. It’s also a good way of keeping informed of latest industry standards.”

The qualification is aimed at learners who are leading and controlling projects in construction, such as managers with responsibility for procurement or design. The course covers all aspects of higher responsibilities that senior managers control and can lead to employment at a senior management level. As the qualification is work-based, it allows learners to gain knowledge through practical experience.

Ambar Kelly recognises the importance of upskilling staff, and are fully funding Charlie’s qualification. Company Managing Director, Alex Bardett commented, “Investing in the professional development of our team is important to us, which is why we are fully subsidising Charlie’s qualification.”

Alex added, “In the construction industry it’s integral to continuously learn and develop. The sector moves so quickly, so investing in our staff with further education enables us to stay ahead of the game.”

Charlie started the course in February 2022, and is due to complete his qualification in February 2023.
